Detailed description
Leishmaniasis is a zoonotic disease caused by Leishmania protozoa, which can cause kala-azar in human skin and internal organs. The clinical features are mainly manifested as long-term irregular fever, spleen enlargement, anemia, weight loss, decreased white blood cell count and increase in serum globulin, if not suitable treatment, most patients are 1~2 years after the disease due to concurrent other diseases and death. The disease is more common in Mediterranean countries and tropical and subtropical regions, with cutaneous leishmaniasis being the most common.
