TRF Antibody Test Uncut Sheet
The Human Transferrin Antigen Rapid Test Kit (Colloidal Gold) is a rapid qualitative test to detect low levels of transferrin in fecal occult blood. The test selectively detects occult blood in human transferrin stool as low as 40 ng/mL using a dual antibody sandwich. In addition, unlike guaiac analysis, the accuracy of this test is independent of the patient’s diet.
The Human Transferrin Antigen Rapid Test Kit (Colloidal Gold) is a qualitative, lateral assay for the detection of human occult blood in feces by flow immunoassay. The membrane is pre-coated with anti-transferrin antibodies in the test line area of the test strip. During the test, the sample reacts with particles coated with anti-transferrin antibodies. This mixture migrates upward on the membrane by capillary action and reacts with anti-transferrin antibodies on the membrane to form a colored line.
The presence of this colored line in the test area indicates a positive result, while its absence indicates a negative result. As the program control line will always appear in the control line area, indicating that a sample has been added and membrane wicking has occurred.
